An alphanumeric system of labeling buildings to aid in the
navigation of a campus.
An Alphanumeric System is a coordinate grid in which each square location is classified by a combination of a letter and a number. Like the game Battleship or navigating a chessboard, this system helps to locate a specific position on a map quickly.
By utilizing this system, first responders will be able to use the buildings to coordinate and navigate to any location on campus quickly.
For example, someone starting from the Red Building (A1) would be able to quickly navigate to the Blue Building (D3) just by following the Building ID Signs.
